Report about the
Norwegian visit

on October 1999

Following a continuous exchange between The Abraham Center in Gaza and Manglerud School in Norway. The Palestinian families who hosted the Norwegian students attended at The Abraham Center to receive them on Thursday 14.10.1999. They consisted of 7 students and 2 teachers, who stayed for one week.

While their stay in Gaza the Norwegian group attended Arabic lessons at The Abraham Center and join a music lesson where they learned Palestinian song "Whene Ala Ramallah".

 The Norwegian group  and the teaching staff of The Abraham Center visited many places like:

• 2 governmental schools, Zahrat Al Madaen secondary school for girls and Al Karmel secondary school for boys.

• Gaza International Airport where they listened to the explination about the development of the airport from the information officer.

• Red Crescent in Khan Younis and toured the diffirent departments.

• Gaza old city for shopping.

• Latin Church in Gaza city.

• Holiest Center in Gaza city.

• Vocation Training Center.

• Shalehat for swimming

• Palestinian Cultural Center in Jabalia.
  

 

At the end of the visit The Abraham Center prepared a party for the group, the host families and some of the friends of the Abraham Center.
